New to me... a copy of London maybe? I'm guessing that you went as wide as the 7590 would allow... so with that in mind you got as much detail as composition would allow. you do find the awkward stuff to shoot ... (like that covered bridge) you got looking huge seems a little dull like a levels adjustment would give some pop

Charlie... even though I have Lightroom 4 and PE11, I rarely use them. I would have to say that in 90% of the photos I post, they're straight out of the camera. I entirely agree with you regarding the need for a "levels' adjustment" but I'm reluctant to do it. Not sure why? Perhaps some laziness... some fear that the software is too difficult to master... a basic disagreement that I've "changed" the original image. I know some of our members enjoy manipulating their images but I'm not a fan by a country mile. Now... if I could manipulate the image so that it gave that pop but at the same time was the least intrusive to the original... ah... then I'd be rocking. I'll try my hand at it.
"Linny, I need coffee!" (with some coffee on my desk I'll give it a whirl. Just hold on a sec!

Yeah... I guess that's a bit better. Essentially lightened and sharpened it a bit... period.

James you make it sound like a chore. It's supposed to be fun. ahhhh... the old question, is it right or wrong to post process a photograph? Sometimes (most times) a little PP restores reality, IMO. Hope you're okay with this example of how a levels and a corrected white balance can change the appearance of a photo without destroying it. To me the altered version looks more realistic. And maybe has more pop. Make sure you click to enlarge it. to me the 7590 pics always responded well to a little PP

Mind? Not in the least. I appreciate it. BTW... Lin wants to know if you can make it go "around"! LOL
