For this month's contest: the idea was to get to this spot when the early morning sun was low in the sky... so that the deep groves in the heavily traveled roadway would show up. I tried for this for about 2 weeks and this is the best that I came up with. Here I had rolled a wee little bit too far and missed the sun crossing the deepest groves. It seemed that when I was in the right spot there were always cars blocking the groves at this intersection or the sun wasn't right or something. Although the one time I was stopped and everything was perfect I couldn't get my phone out of my pocket before the light changed and I had to go without getting the pic that would have been just what I wanted.

That's a pretty creative idea you had there, Charlie. What road are we discussing here? I know a few up around your area but it's been quite a while. I like the inclusion of the mirror to give some perspective and anchoring on the right side and I love the sunshine although I agree... just a wee bit earlier would have sealed the deal. Still... very good.

James your comments are always so thoughtful,,,,(accurate an kind) this is Bayview Ave. one of the top 6 slowest commutes in Canada It's snowing tonight so I might get a transportation pic tomorrow morn. Then it's off to see the gang at my old church on the other side of the GTA

Have a safe commute. My sister and her family received quite a bit of the white stuff down in Niagara. Here on the coast it's been dry... not even rain today but generally gray skies. Sure wish we could have a little of the white stuff just for the 24th. Nostalgia, I guess.
