dI' I'm not sure what happened but my text was erased when I uploaded the image. Above you see the whirlpool of Niagara. The Niagara R. runs from L. Erie to L. Ontario. It plunges over the escarpment (i.e. Niagara Falls) then flows straight until it makes a dramatic 90 degree turn (as seen here). Years ago cables and an aero car were strung across the whirlpool to carry people above the cataracts.

Years ago, fellows who wanted to get into the USA illegally were told to take the aero car across. The only catch was... it goes from Canada TO Canada! LOL (or so the story goes)
It's an interesting ride. Lin could not be convinced to take it but I've been on it many times. Perfectly safe (unless the cables break).

Ah the Canadian school system.... standard field trip to Niagara Falls. Item no.5 on the list, cable-car ride across the whirlpool. Then off to the wax museum etc etc etc.
This is good example of why extra long and expensive lenses don't help all the time. So often there's so much stuff in the air that the camera can't get a clean shot of the wildlife just over there a ways. This photo shows why a wider view and lens can trump what the long zoomer does.

Thanks for looking and commenting, Guys. Somewhere I have the aero car itself but I can't find it. 98 degrees to 28 degrees is incredible. You would have to wonder how the cables could handle that temperature difference. Charlie, did you take that field trip as a kid?
