This is my old dog - Molly. She stayed with my sister when I went on holiday. Her young dog (Sparti's brother) had a good chew on her bed. New dog. Previous owner named her Sparticus (!) - I just call her Sparti.

They are so beautiful, Riana. What is Sparti's story? How did you wind up with her?

They are so beautiful, Riana. What is Sparti's story? How did you wind up with her? Sorry for responding only now. By the time you posted this, I knew things weren't working out. How I got her: My sister works for the NSPCA, and earlier this year they got a litter of boxer pups. She wanted Spartie, but she was already booked, She took a brother, called Monster. A week or so ago she messaged me. Spartie's owner had moved from a large property (we call it a plot or agricultural holding - a very small farm) to a small property on a very busy road. Every time they opened the gate, the dog would take off into the road. I felt sorry and said I'll take her - I do know about young boxers etc. The owner is friends with an SPCA branch manager and they kept the dog in the pound for a night or two, and I brought her home She is a very sweet dog, but in spite of toys etc. provided, she was very destructive. Also not displaying the typical boxer mannerisms, and don't want to play. Molly was also not playing. Someone at work said sounds if she needs to be on a farm with kids. When I got back to my office, I realised I do know someone like that. On top of it, the kids are home schooled, thus there the entire day. I asked, thought they could only say no, and Saturday they said yes, they'll take her. I did however feel like a dog. Sunday my friends came to pick her up. Well, it turned out to be a match made in heaven. Spartie was immediately bouncing up to the kids' shoulder levels. My friend messaged me Sunday night that Spartiewas already playing with the other dogs. This morning she said Spartie has already befriended a particular dog. She already needed a bath because she had a rave in the fish pond. The one boy actually started his school work earlier so that he can go and play with her in the veldt. That was the last message, but I think all will be well.

What a great story. I'm happy it worked out for all of you. Too bad about Molly's bed. I guess she deserves another, eh?! LOL

So I just let it rest inside the ring (or wall of the bed or whatever you call it) and throw a blanket over. She likes to rest her chin on the ring.

Molly is such a beautiful dog with her shiny coat. I am glad the living arrangements have now been settled to everyone's liking.
