the subject has that romantic, times of yesteryear about it. but it comes across as a very awkward thing to photograph. I'm left wanting more detail, like the grain and patina of the old board siding (like shows up on the inside shot)or the rough cedar shakes on the roof, but to see that you'd have to move in closer to see those details and then we'd loose the bridge so to speak. Maybe a subject like this would suit a triptoglyph? It's hard to get a good look with just one look so to speak. in the sideview... how come the left end of the bridge got chopped?

how come the left end of the bridge got chopped? Good call, Charlie. Indeed... how come? Entirely my wife's fault. I had the whole shot set up perfectly and she nudged me a little to the right. Absolutely shameless! Oh well... if you MUST know the truth - I simply blew it.

Oh well... if you MUST know the truth - I simply blew it. oh it was one of 'those' cases was it? and here I was thinking there was some thing or other cluttering up your shot that had to be excluded.. like oh say something like some electrical transformers.

Very nice...the mill reminds me of an old mill that was near where I lived in Delaware...they actually converted it into condo's...very upscale
