They're all beautiful right down to the little bits of snow on the squirrel's nose. That lens is incredible. He's a bold little guy (or gal?) isn't he? LOL

tastefully presented photos.... your pics are very satisfying...you don't ever have little distractions in your pics... like a car in the background or something that just doesn't go with the subject. (wildlife shooting is for people of great patience)IMHO

(wildlife shooting is for people of great patience)IMHO Thanks so much Charlie I don't like clutter, LOL...although when i shoot through the window here...the tree the birds land in is an old pine & there r lots of dead branches & other ones mixed in, so it's really hard to get a good pic ...but i dont mind really ...there r more Cardinals here & the Mockingbird is hanging around...my blind is at the other house where its always been..so I get diff shots from both places I also prefer to be outside given the choice...at my blind I have my little buddy who looks in on me...lol..it's a Carolina Wren...last year he came in the zippered opening i shoot through & landed on my lens...lol..love that Wren

Being out in and with nature and getting close to the little creatures restores us doesn't it? Maybe that's one of the things that draws birders.

took that pic with my cell phone...
I LOVE this photograph.....!!!!!!! it has a nature lover's flair about it... kinda looks like mother and child, with that wee little tent snuggling in tight under the protection of the big tree.

Thanks Charlie I never thought of it that way...but is true... I went back & took another shot with my Oly...& got the whole pine that my blind is nestled under ...That row of Pines in the backyard are huge...sometimes when i go sit out there...i guess i never give it a thought as to, " I hope no branches decide to come down while i am in there, LOL!!! The snow we got from this last storm was heavy & then we got a bit of a wintry mix on top which made the branches weighted down ...was lucky the one that broke off beside my blind was just a smaller one but it could have done in my blind...it was about 12 feet long...& about 5 inches around on the end that broke...This is my 4th blind...
Here is another pic just a few more feet up from where my blind is of the big branches that fell because of the weight of the snow & wintry mix...

Thanks Chris It would be alot nicer if I had an actual floor inside, LOL...I got an old board to sit my little beach chair on & a small one for my tripod...& a little table to set my gear & thermos on...the small electric heater sits on a piece of slate......comfy to me except when the wind is howling & it gets in under the blind...if there is snow...the wind don't come in coz the snow makes for a barrier
